Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. He is considered one of the best tight ends to ever play. In addition to being the league's top receiver for yards, and the third place in total receptions, Gonzalez also was the NFL tight end who had the most receptions.
Former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as an FOX Sports studio analyst. Gonzalez is an regular participant presenter on FOX NFL KICKOFF in the start of the NFL's season in 2017. The hour-long pregame show precedes FOX NFL Sunday on Sundays, at 11 AM ET in the NFL Season.
Gonzalez's claim to be retiring from the NFL following 2013 is not the case. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons the two-year deal worth $14 million. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012 as did Gonzalez (37 an age) played last season as the one of the NFL's top receivers.
